Statistics
Suicide is widespread and affects everyone.
- Approximately 800,000 people die of suicide every year.
- It is estimated that 10–20 times more actually attempt suicide each year.
- Over 50% of people admit to being affected by suicide in some way.
- 93% of people say they think suicide can be prevented.
With so many believing that suicide can be prevented, now is the time to take action.
Jasper’s Game Day
Jasper’s Game Day is one of that 93% that have taken immediate and meaningful action after being affected by suicide. Jasper’s Game Day is a non-profit organization established by President Fenway Jones and her father, Aaron Jones in 2017 after two friends of Fenway’s took their own lives within the span of 10 months. In 2017, they raised $8,000. Now, in May of 2021 alone, they have already raised over $200,000 for various contributions for suicide awareness and prevention.
How Can You Help?:
Head over to the Streamlabs Fundraiser for Jasper’s Game Day and consider hosting a charity stream. If you can’t host a charity event stream, consider heading here and making a donation yourself. With mental health advocation on the rise, now is the time to stomp on suicide and show it that everyone, everywhere, can stop it.
Every dollar brings us closer to a world without suicide.
Remember, you are not a critical failure!
