Reading this book has been a discovery for me, obviously as more you know Netflix, more you want to learn about their progression, but this book might reach the utopian start-up dream on how to be successful creating the best environment.

When you usually arrive to a new company, usually your onboarding starts with “find this here” “this is your manager” “here’s the guide to ask for blah blah” But what if… you came to a new company and there are no rules? What if they trust you blindly that you can almost spend all the money you want without any permission? Spend as much paid vacation as wanted, create your own schedule, and give opinion to everyone in the company? This ended up being the culture created by Netflix.

Reading the book, you see yourself immersed on learnings from fails, understanding how valuable the feedback is to achieve a better employee environment, and understanding how high-performance team are not willing to leave the company. This book is full of opinions, experiences and methodologies that might create a better environment, but remember do not take it literally as maybe your team is not ready to the utopian world.
