2020 is coming to an end, a year we’ll all remember as we we’re all ‘infected’ by the same virus. Staying safe, in (semi) lockdown has been everybody’s fate, but luckily enough artists still painted so we went yet again on our best of endeavor.
#10 — #5: Traveling from Russia, to Mexico, US and Europe.
Our nr 10 is familar face with Rustam Qbic who painted an inspiring large scale mural in Magnitogorsk, Russia (supported by Graffiti Russia). The Mexican Mestizos Collective painted some impressive pillars in Guadalajara coming in at #9. While Irony had some fun in Belfast, Ireland at #8 spot.
Get ready for the much anticipated “best of” selection, it’s been a difficult month when it came to selection our 100-artwork shortlist. Artists still manage to create their beautiful art despite the majority of Europe is sliding back into a lockdown slowly. This month’s top 10 brings us to the UK, Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Spain, Belgium and Jordan.

In Apple’s new iOS 14 on iPhone and iPad, the Apple Maps app now will encourage you to explore your city by showing you curated guides, created by publications like Lonely Planet, Time Out, and… Street Art Cities!
We’ve been working with the Apple Maps team to bring the unique street art knowledge and beautiful photographs from our hunter community into the Apple Maps app. This is a great way to allow a new audience of people that might not be as familiar with street art to discover what their city has to offer.
Some of our hunters have already been able to help us build beautiful guides around their cities, some of which are already live and several others that will go live in the coming weeks. Scanning socials for new artworks always brings new discoveries, cities and artists. This month was no exception. With festivals in Vigo, Cascais, Denver, Sacramento, Imola, Chalyabinsk (Russia), London we we’re yet again treated with a bunch of artworks concentrated in specific areas.
Our top 10 lands in France, Portugal, Sweden, Italy, Belgium and even Switzerland.

Once in a while we stumble upon similar communities that know how to collectively share cool stuff in cities across the world. Spotted by Locals is such an initiative and we’re impressed!
We noticed they also mapped out cool spots across the world on a city by city model. We both believe locals are like mayors to these city maps and put them front and center in both development and content generation. …

Our new formula proved to be a winner, instead of picking a favorite from 4 artworks, our audience could now choose seperately whether they like an artwork or not. Your response was huge with almost 75k of views of our 100 slelected artworks, our nominees came from all over the world from Japan to South Africa, from Kiev to Bogota. Most artworks are found in Spain thanks to the Artaerorap festival in La Baneza and Gargar in Penelles, but our top 10 this month holds ground in Sweden, Belgium, Spain, France , Australia and Latin American Brasil, Peru and Mexico. …
