Hybrid Working at Street Group

Early in my career, I spent the best part of a decade mostly working in isolation, working from home. I spent the best part of the next decade working closely with teams in offices. I’ve found that we’re much more productive when we’re collaborating closely with other people, especially when you’ve had the opportunity to build relationships with the people you work with. It’s also way more fun.

That’s not to say I’m not a fan of remote working, as if you’re like me, then you’ll find that there are times when you need to just get your head down and crack on with some work, which can sometimes defeat the object of going into the office — a mostly social and sensory filled activity, priming with distractions.

It’s easy to see that there are times that working remotely will lead to increased productivity, and have positive effects on wellbeing, that’s why it’s important to have the flexibility for people to work wherever they feel most productive and happy, whether that’s in the office or working from home.

At Street Group, we’ve always recognised the importance of working together in the office. We feel that this has played a huge part in building and maintaining the culture we have today.
