PubGen provides publishing services and support to authors and publishers thanks to a team of experts working with innovative tools and the latest technology. They describe themselves as “publishing consultants, who help authors, publishers, and distributors, in growing their business multifold.”

StreetLib supports authors and publishers by offering the tools needed to write, publish and sell books online in multiple formats. They also recently brought readers into the fold thanks to the development of a dedicated reading app for mobile and desktop. Pratap Chowdary, founder and CEO of PubGen, saw StreetLib as the ideal platform for India’s flourishing publishing market. Working together, both companies will not only give readers around the world wider access to books from the rich catalog of authors and publishers in India and the APAC region, but also give writers the opportunity to reach a larger readership by distributing to new stores in the area.

“We want to keep a truly worldwide vision and, for us, that means expanding our activities into all the countries where we find like-minded people who want to join StreetLib’s mission to save books. Pratap Chowdary from PubGen and I have been friends since 2008, and have always shared a desire to shape the future of publishing. We’ll continue this adventure together, with Pratap taking the position of CEO for StreetLib India.”
- Antonio Tombolini, founder and CEO of StreetLib

StreetLib India will give unprecedented access to international publishing in up to 12 languages: starting with English, Telugu, Hindi, Sanskrit, Tamil, Bengali and Urdu; followed later by Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi and Kannada. Not only is India the widest English market in the world, it is also the birthplace of many other languages, spoken and read by hundreds of thousands of people across the world. A prime example is Canada, where there are over 500,000 native speakers of one or more of these languages.

PubGen’s expertise in managing content in these languages, as well as its professional experience in the market, will be of great added value to StreetLib’s publishing solutions and will help boost service quality for users worldwide.

“PubGen and Streetlib are equally passionate about publishing, and it’s this passion that has brought us together. With the fantastic tools and vision of StreetLib combined with over 33 million hours of global publishing experience, we aim to put the power into the hands of authors. Even the biggest and most experienced publishers won’t be able to offer that.”
-Pratap Chowdary, PubGen founder and CEO and StreetLib India CEO
