With the announcement of this new distribution partnership, books released by new Nigerian startup publisher Publiseer will be made available through StreetLib’s global network of digital bookstore partners.

Marco Croella, the COO of StreetLib, contacted Lagos State-based Publiseer after hearing in March of this year that they had joined the International Publishing Distribution Association.

“The deal with Publiseer is a significant step forward in our international development, allowing us to reach a major African country through a young partner with an outstanding track record.” — Marco Croella, StreetLib COO

This deal is exciting to us at StreetLib for two reasons. First, it furthers our mission of championing books and authors from all over the world. Second, it is our hope that the added visibility the StreetLib platform brings them (thanks to our wide variety of bookstore partners) will boost their international profile. To date, Publiseer books have been available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Kobo, Google Play and Apple iBooks. Thanks to our partnership, StreetLib will add dozens of additional online digital stores, and thereby bring their books to markets that previously would not have access to them.

Says Antonio Tombolini, “This is another big step in following our ‘Really Global’ mantra.”

“Our mission at Publiseer is to promote the creativity of Africans to the rest of the world through the written word, and this partnership goes a long way to achieving this.” — Chidi Nwaogu, CEO of Publiseer

“StreetLib is an industry leader with a large portfolio of bookstores. This partnership brings this impressive amount of bookstores into our portfolio as well, and I’m certain it will yield great results, both for us as a publishing company and for our authors.” — Ose Okojie, Head of Product Development at Publiseer

This agreement marks StreetLib’s first step into Africa.

“This new agreement couldn’t have come at a better time! The first reason, as Mark Williams — TNPS editor in chief — mentioned, is because the Nigerian international book fair kicks off this week and IDPF will be holding a seminar in Lagos. The second is that I have been working to build StreetLib’s presence in Africa over the last few weeks, and we will be making a major announcement in this regard by the end of the month. I’m excited to see Publiseer joining our StreetLibers’ community, making it even more diverse and open to the world.” — AC de Fombelle, Chief Globalization Officer
