In the quiet of twilight, I whispered your name,
Believing in echoes that never came.
A tapestry woven of dreams and deceit,
Where every promise seemed so sweet.
Your eyes were stars in a fabricated sky,
Shining bright with truths that belie.
Your words, a melody, so soft, so fair,
But vanished like whispers in the air.
I held onto shadows, mistaking them for light,
Chasing illusions deep into the night.
Each touch a mirage, every kiss a guise,
Lost in the depths of your beautiful lies.
I walked through the garden of our crafted tale,
Where roses bloomed, but truth turned pale.
The petals, so vibrant, masked a thorny snare,
Each blossom a secret, a hidden despair.
We danced in the moonlight, under skies so clear,
Yet every step echoed a silent fear.
The closer I got, the further you seemed,
A love that was real only when dreamed.
In your embrace, I felt a fleeting peace,
A comfort that gave only brief release.
Your laughter, a symphony, filled the air,
But the silence that followed was hard to bear.
I built castles in the air, foundations of sand,
