The Brothers’

From Cain and Abel, learn we must,
The dangers of envy, betrayal of trust.
For anger, unchecked, can lead to despair,
Destroying bonds that love could repair.

To guard our hearts from sin’s dark snare,
And act with justice, kind and fair.
For in each offering, in every deed,
Our hearts’ true motives, the Lord does heed.

Brother’s keeper, we are called to be,
In times of joy and misery.
To lift each other, through thick and thin,
And find redemption, from within.

Mark of Cain, a tale of woe,
Yet mercy’s light does softly glow.
Even in judgment, grace can find,
A path of healing, for humankind.

So, let us walk with humble hearts,
In fields of labour, and creative arts.
Offering our best, with love sincere,
And trust in God, to hold us near.

In every heart, the lesson clear,
Of love, forgiveness, drawing near.
For even in darkness, light can shine,
Through faith and hope, the divine line.
