The Unspeakable Pain
The Incredible Power of Prayer
Matthew 11:28–30 NIV
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. [29] Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. [30] For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
People seem to have a fondness of telling others God doesn’t give you more than you can handle, which is a falsehood, and honestly can do more harm than good. The past few months have reminded me of that truth!
One of my dearest friends lost her Mom in October. She reached out to me hours after it happened, asking for prayer, and for me to let the others know!
Just a few weeks ago, I watched as another friend always so strong, fall under a weight so heavy no one should have to bare. This friend who is often the one others lean on, needed in that moment to lean on, I offered her comfort in that moment, not knowing the full extent of what she was going through in that moment, but I didn’t need to know.
