Traffic Jam.

When you choose to see the beautiful possibilities of your life, the world opens up for you.

The author: I love a simple, peaceful life. To enjoy the beauty of each day like butterflies floating from flower to flower.

City traffic, especially on a rainy day, is no joke.

As I sat in my car, barely moving in the line, uncertainty loomed large. Approaching my 40th birthday, fear washed over me. Thoughts of progress mingling with confusion and apprehension about the unknown paralyzed me.

Away from the few close relatives and friends I know, surrounded by strangers, panic set in. Inch by inch, I pondered whether the traffic would ever relent.

I realized that life mirrors these jams—sometimes a complete standstill, other times inching along for days, weeks, even months.

But do you pull over and park, waiting for the chaos to clear? Do you press on, fueled by curiosity about what lies ahead amidst the fear?

In moments like this, you must remind yourself that there is always something to cling to; there is always a win.

“Focus is how you knit the hours of the day together. With focus, the day becomes a beautiful tapestry. Without focus, you end up holding a bundle of loose string.” James Clear

Yes, I know. I was panicking for nothing.

Hahaha.

Strangers took me out on my birthday. I wore makeup for the first time.

It was not the end of the world as I actually thought.

The author, on my 40th birthday.

So, when life’s progress seems elusive, visualize the progress, inch by inch, that brings you closer home.

Be encouraged, be inspired!
