What Does God’s Love Look Like (Revised)

Looking at God’s Love Through A Different Lens

Child’s Answer to What God’s Love Looks Like

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

Matthew 19:14 New International Version (NIV)

As someone who works with children in a church setting for years, I am often in awe of the lens in which children often look at life. The above picture was drawn by a six-year-old when discussing what God’s love looks like, and also how a parent still loves us when they discipline us.

Once again, I am reminded why children are such a gift, why Jesus welcomed them. Children often possess the Faith that most adults lack, and they aren’t afraid to share Christ’s Love with others, while we adults shy away from them for various reasons: being politically correct, offending someone, etc.

This little girl’s artwork got me to thinking, what does God’s love look like? Can you see it in the face of the person who takes the time to pray for those In need? The person who goes out of there way to visit the sick or injured, or can it be seen in the person who fought against incredible odds, and still clung to that faith?
