Stribling Insiders: Paul LeMarc Brown
Considered to be one of the best-dressed agents in all of New York by The Real Deal Magazine as well as his clients and colleagues, Paul’s keen eye and sense of style are staples of his real estate business. His experience is vast, ranging from retail space leasing to asset management for a mid-size building in Midtown. He has also partnered with the United Nations on connecting diplomats to suitable housing, and he has consulted for Chinese developers. He’s even extended his expertise to Miami, where he is currently working with Stribling partner Cervera Real Estate to market Aria on the Bay, a 53-story luxury new development on Biscayne Bay. We caught up with Paul to chat about his favorite part about being an agent, and why keeping a sense of humor is a priority:
When did you first get into residential real estate and why?
I joined the ranks of real estate professionals almost 15 years ago after a fast track career with PricewaterhouseCoopers. My papa recommended a part-time salesperson career while I figure out my next move. Instead, I decided to go full throttle and I’ve never looked back.
What is your favorite part about being a real estate agent?
I find most interesting the ability to connect and guide others. My career is about servicing.
Why did you choose Stribling & Associates?
Speaking from personal experience, Stribling is one of few firms with an actual environment that encourages true growth and camaraderie from the top-down.
Do you have a favorite neighborhood and why?
West Chelsea sits at my heart’s crossroads. Continued population growth has transformed the area occupying Manhattan’s western periphery to a destination for health & wellness, cuisine, entertainment, and solace. I can’t get enough.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I’m a pretty intense seeker of plot structure found in both popular and esoteric media.
What is an achievement of which you are most proud?
I have a couple of proud moments, however I get the most joy in finding solutions for threatening problems.

Wag the Dog
Favorite travel destination?
Siem Reap, Cambodia. It’s a place of contemplation and serenity.
If you weren’t a real estate agent, what would you be?
This is a hard one. I’ve always been enamored with two things: contemporary dance and the written word.
What else should we know about you?
I have a great life filled with love and loved ones. I find a sense of humor quite useful when walking through the world. My being in a service-oriented industry is such a fulfilling opportunity, especially when others truly rely on your expertise and experiences.
