Sharing ideas and concepts, awards show and homemade schnitzel, pretty much sums up our week here at STRICHPUNKT. This week’s reading list include an interesting debate on timelessness, Microsoft’s new design system and a beautiful guide on photography.

Adam Kopec, Design Director at Hodinkee, has published an interesting article on various aspects that make (industrial) design timeless and started a healthy debate on if digital products need to be timeless as well. Does the fast pace of the Internet allow digital to be timeless at all or is it only another reminiscence from the old days?

Microsoft just released a new guide on their Fluent Design System at it’s Build Conference. Other than Metro, the design language for Windows 8, Microsoft aims to cover multiple input & output modalities with this language to make it a universal one that works well everywhere. Also check out their stories on modern design at Microsoft.

Apple has compiled a wonderful photography guide on how to get the best out of your iPhone 7. We love the level of dedication they put in every aspect of their services & products. And of course: we can’t wait to share our latest group selfie with you — the best one ever taken.
