Driving adoption of Digital Products
From pushing for software adoption for SMEs (like a bicycle shop and SMEs in general) through 2020 to 2021 to building a searchable database for a school academic department, here are some of my learnings
Since the COVID-19 lockdown, I had the chance to drive tech adoption in both a family business as well as a school setting. These are the 5 main suggestions I will cover to drive the adoption of digital products:
- Overcoming inertia requires a simple personalized strategy
- Always pitch in-person* (instead of text), 1:1
- Rollout in phases
- MVP first instead of abstract benefits
- Find or create champions

Pitching to a small and medium enterprise (SME) owner interested in digitization is different from pitching to an educator who has limited interest in tech beyond day-to-day needs.
