At the end of this summer, we are launching our second version of Mito.ai: ”Dynamic Prospecting”. This leads to a big need for capacity over the summer. We are therefore stacking up with nothing less than 5 interns to make sure we reach our goals this summer. As we are placed a short walk from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), this is and will be our main recruitment arena. In this round, we will introduce two of our most novel peers, Jenny and Tollef.

Jenny

Jenny is a 22-year-old from Bergen, living her life in Trondheim. She has finished her third year of a Master in Computer Science at NTNU. She got experience from both Kongsberg Gruppen and Telenor Digital. This summer she is stoked for doing her best in improving Mito.ai!

How did you discover Mito.ai?

“Through Abakus’s (Student organization for Computer Science) webpage.“

Abakus is a student organization for Computer Science and Communication Technology. With a total of over 800 members, it is one of the biggest student organizations on NTNU.

What do you wish to learn during this internship?

“Something new, that I haven’t done before. Right now, for instance, I’m learning Scala development and using APIs.”

Jenny is currently working on implementing different data sources to the Mito software.

What is the best thing about working in Mito.ai?

“Since it’s a startup, the work feels very meaningful and it feels like I’m working at something useful.”

None of this years interns have any experience from the start-up environment. Here at the incubator, DIGS in Trondheim, we are making sure they are getting the most out of it!

Tollef

Tollef is our northern Norway alibi! As northmen most, he got a hard working culture in his veins. He never says no to a task, no matter how big or small. Tollef is in his last year of studies at NTNU, for his Computer Science Master. He saw Mito.ai as an opportunity for his master thesis and will be seen a lot at the office also after the end of this summer. We are looking forward to see what Tollef can find out about Mito.ai in his thesis!

How did you discover Mito.ai?

“Through a friend I worked with at the Student Society, who is now a full-time employee.”

Tollef was introduced to Mito.ai by one of our rockstar programmers, Alf. Alf was in addition to working at Mito.ai searching for the best talents at NTNU last year. Being a student, Alf always knew where to look in the jungle of tech at the NTNU Campus.

What do you wish to learn during this internship?

“More about the startup culture, but most importantly about the technologies in use. As I will continue working with Mito.ai for my specialization project and master’s thesis this coming fall, I hope to have a good understanding of the inner workings of the in-house systems beforehand.”

Tollef is currently working on optimizing Ambit, the first launched version of Mito.ai. During his time here he has made Ambit able to fetch news significantly faster.

What is the best thing about working in Mito.ai?

“Being able to work with new and exciting technologies, and having the opportunity to work closely with all parts of a company.”

As it says in his LinkedIn bio, Tollef is a:”self-proclaimed nerd” he is therefore a perfect fit for the Mito.ai ecosystem!

In the next round we will meet Magnus, Yan and Erling. Stay tuned!
