And it’s our new album.

The album “Calafrio”

20 years after the smash hit “Little Black Backpack,” Stroke 9 is back with their newest single “Calafrio” off the upcoming album, also titled “Calafrio.”

(The band briefly considered renaming the band to Calafrio as well, for the “Bad Company” effect, but it was quickly voted down)

The new song “Calafrio” captures the sound and spirit of their home California, musically traveling the coast, from the vibrant beaches down south on up to the chill redwoods of the north. It’s the essential soundtrack for BBQs, bonfires, and boat docks everywhere.

Recorded at the isolated “Panoramic House Studios” overlooking Stinson Beach, CA, the self-produced track features drums by Steve Ferrone (Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers), and was mixed by Ruadhri Cushnan (Mumford and Sons, Ed Sheeran).

A little older but none the wiser, Stroke 9 has continued making music over their 30 year career, having released 9 albums and constantly touring clubs and festivals all across the country.

Follow the song HERE to listen the day it drops!

The single “Calafrio” is available on streams everywhere on December 6th, 2019, and the new album will be released January 2020.
