Infrastructure-as-a-Service technology company StrongNode.io CEO and Co-founder Daniel Saito attended the AMA episode with Dubai Community. The AMA session happened on 26 October 2022 at the Crypto Panda Telegram group. Daniel answered questions from the group, from the Twitter audience, and from the live segment like future targets of StrongNode, development updates, and more.

Some of the highlights from the StrongNode x Dubai Community AMA episode are here:

StrongNode has two types of roles; Node Partners and Node Clients, can you tell us more about them? What functions does each one of these roles have in the development of StrongNode? How could someone be one or the other? And what are the benefits that each role brings to users?

Daniel Saito: So two types of users on the network, there are enterprise customers (or end users) that require low cost computing. These customers have a lot of data that requires processing. The data needs to be processed cost effectively (so web-services are out of the question) so this is where we come in and take this data and process on lent computing resources by StrongNode users.

There we see many projects that claims they are fully “Decentralized” . But they done their work in a Centralized way. How can we sure that #StrongNode is fully Decentralized? Can you please tell us what’s your working method?

Daniel Saito: We harness the power from idle devices and lends it to industries that need it the most. This enables businesses to not be reliant on centralized cloud services that are expensive and bad for the planet.

We are now living in a decentralized world, with that there is a significant amount of computing resources that are under utilized that is laying waste at the last mile (you the consumer unit that has more than 1 digital device). That device can be added to a network, the network is comprised of various digital devices with variable uptime. As we take analytics on your device uptime and reliability, it will be given more tasks. As the network grows over time, this will fuel the network scalability issue — hence the “network effect.”

The importance of regulation cannot be overstated. Several projects in a variety of nations have been halted due to a lack of required licencing. What is #StrongNodeEdge approach to this issue? Are you working on a project that follows all of the rules?

Daniel: Regulation is always something that we are always mindful around. When we went down this journey, we wanted to be compliant and build the building blocks for us to be compliant on these regulations and restrictions.

We are concerned of regulatory rules, hence we are addressing it before it goes into effect. See StrongNodeID. This is done to stem against the future “travel rule” that is about to go in effect in the USA. It’s already here in Japan. So we naturally need to support this, so we built the technology and made sure that we are compliant.

I believe that having a distributed team allows us to be on top of regulatory concerns around the world. Software is eating the world, we are just following to keep up with compliance.
