Founder and CEO of leading listed German VC “German Startups Group”
Tell us a bit about yourself and your background.
I am founder and CEO of German Startups Group, a leading German VC investor and one of the few listed VC firms in Europe, which I founded because I believe in the benefits that startups (especially in Germany) bring through their technological disruption and that everyone should be able to participate in that value creation (e.g. through our share). Before that, I founded several other companies and IPO’ed two of them, namely CDV and Frogster Interactive; the latter one together with Dirk.
When did you start getting active in the crypto/blockchain space?
I have to be honest that the topic surrounded me for a few years now but it was beginning of 2017 that I really deep dived into it — privately as well as with German Startups Group. I think it is a one of a kind technology that might turn out to be the most significant disruption of our century (after the internet which we can count into the last century) — liberalising each and every part of our global transaction models, the way we make business with each other and how welfare is distributed across society. Already now, we see a distribution of wealth through cryptocurrencies across many different developing and emerging countries that would have never been possible under the existing circumstances of the Western World. Of course, we will see many failures and many people losing their money just like in the dotcom bubble but sometimes it takes creative chaos or destruction to come up with something completely new.
How did you get involved with Stryking and what is your advisory focus?
I know Dirk from former times as co-managing director at Frogster Interactive which is why my participation in Stryking was a no brainer as I am familiar with Dirk’s capabilities and he has earned my full confidence over the years. We were in contact for a few before we bought a share but it was the ICO plan that really got me because there might not be a better use for tokens than in an engaged online football community like Stryking.
What is the number one reason why you like the STRYKZ token sale?
As said before, the main problem for most tokens is the missing community engagement for it. With STRYKZ the users gets incentivized to keep the tokens flowing — earning some, buying some, redeeming some. In this way, a constant stream of transactions is guaranteed instead of simple pump and dump which we see more often in recent times.
How do you see the future of the STRYKZ token in the next years?

I am a lifetime member of the Eintracht Frankfurt ;)
