Tell us a bit about yourself and your background.

I am a professor of sport business because I believe sport can make the world a better place. I have conducted sport consumer research for over ten years with a focus on sport branding and consumer experiences. Through my position as a professor and researcher, I have helped teams, athletes, and mobile application providers around the world achieve competitive advantages.

When did you start getting active in the crypto/blockchain space?

I heard of Bitcoin in 2013, but have really started to get more involved in the blockchain space early 2017 after discussing the opportunities of the technology in my classes, and looking into how organisations can use the technology to improve their user experience.

How did you get involved with Stryking and what is your advisory focus?

I met the Stryking team at a sport technology startup competition associated with the Champions League Final 2017 in Cardiff, where I was invited by the head of a venture fund. After initial conversations with Christian about my research on gamified consumer experiences at the competition, we saw a lot of overlap in our interests. Consequently, we decided to get me more involved with a focus on helping the team refine the consumer experience and supporting data analytics.

What is the number one reason why you like the STRYKZ token sale?

I am excited about the STRYKZ token, because it has the potential to become the leading crypto token in the world of football. Having worked with fan engagement applications, my research highlights the importance of rewarding user engagement, which is exactly what the STRYKZ token does. The beauty, compared to many token sales that are just based on an idea, is that the Stryking platform is up and running and thus able to capitalise on upcoming highlight events such as the Worldcup in Russia.

How do you see the future of the STRYKZ token in the next years?

The STRYKZ token has the potential to become widely adopted in the world of football beyond the Stryking platform. We see major shifts in the market from following teams to following the league as a whole or following individual athletes and I think the STRYKZ token can capitalise on these trends.

Finally, the most important question: What is your favourite football club?

Bayern Munich. No football club can be constantly successful on the field without being successful as a business, so as a sport business professor, I look at organisations that have a long-term focus with a solid foundation.
