30 Days to Become a Scholar-Warrior, Day 25 — Go on an outdoor adventure exploring nature and write about it in the woods
This is somewhat from a previous post that we talked about on going on a long, endurance trek. Its enlightening to reconnect with nature, especially when you go into an environment so rich in life, while your training at the same time.
We wanted to revisit this idea but from a more self-reflection-based view. Pull back from the exercise a bit and go into nature to reflect.
Meditation and self-reflection are importnat aspects of traveling on a journey. They give us mments ot attain clarity easier and by being in a surreal enviroment like a forest, you feel life even though you’re in solitidue.
Imagine this:
Nature is everywhere. Eclectic woods and foliage, basking under the shade of the forest’s canopy as streams of light penetrate the foliage, in a soothing contrast of light and shade. Clean air, envelopes the small clearing under the wood. Green moss grows over hard boulders, giving a comfortable place to sit and take in the majesty that is around. Faint sounds of animals; soothe the mind, unlike the distracting honking sounds of the city. A stream resides near this nook of solitude in the wood. It provides clean water and the sound of cool serenity passes through the ears, relaxing the heart and freeing the mind.
Go into nature and reflect on the important things in your life. Where you’re going, how far you’ve gotten, and what you are trying to accomplish, are just some of those things.
Make sure to write them down.
Make sure to try and to them regularly.
