New Study: No Evidence That Marijuana Lowers IQ in Teens
While many cling to old studies suggesting that the drug could harm the brain of maturing adolescences. Until recently, this was the belief of many people, including scientists.
Now , in this first study of it’s kind, scientists have looked at the affects of long-term marijuana use in teens. How? By comparing IQ changes in twin siblings. The scientists found no link between low IQ and marijuana use.
“This is a very well-conducted study … and a welcome addition to the literature,” Valerie Curran, a psychopharmacologist at the University College London said.
