I’m excited to announce that I’m launching Student Loans Guy today!

A college education is essential in our current economy, but it leaves too many people with overwhelming debt. More than 43 million Americans have student loans. The average 2016 college grad owed over $37,000 on graduation day, and nearly 60% of millennials say they have no clue when their student loans will be paid off. Many of them don’t even know what student loan repayment plan they’re on — or that they could save on their monthly payments by switching plans. Many of my friends have asked me what they should do with their student loans, but I’ve never had a place to direct them.

I started Student Loans Guy because I believe we can change that. Student Loans Guy helps you decide between federal and private student loans, find the best repayment plan when you graduate, walks through the benefits of refinancing, breaks down the income driven repayment plans, and helps people with student loan forgiveness. The site also provides advice on personal finance fundamentals like how to build your credit score, the effects of compound interest, and how to save money. All of this packaged together in a comprehensive Student Loan Guide.

We created our own $1,000 scholarship to give back to our readers, and are building a community by sharing our members’ student loan stories so we can learn from each other. We want to help as many people refinance as possible — not refinancing to find a lower interest rate is like leaving free money on the table. For every loan that is refinanced with one of our lending partners through Student Loans Guy, we will donate $20 to the Student Loans Guy Scholarship fund.

The long-term effects of student loans on our generation (and our entire economy) are too large to be ignored.

Check out www.studentloansguy.com and let us know your thoughts. Please help spread the word!

Thank you, I really appreciate your support!
