Struggle in GCU for excelling in Statistics

During my BSc (Hons) in Economics in GCU Lahore, I had to Study “Statistics and Business Accounting & Finance” as compulsory subjects. I came here from an Urdu medium institution but the medium of instruction was English in GCU. I did not even know the basic concepts and the subjects which were taught at advance level. My class fellows tried to avoid me because they did not want to help me. So I tried to solve my problems myself and started coming university at 7:00 am and studied there till 7:00 pm. After classes, I used to go to the library for studying. I did not attend any marriage ceremony, sacrificed all my leisure time and even started visiting my parents after 3 to 4 months. I burnt the midnight oil and as a result, I got First position in three semesters out of four.
