Where to Study: Building a Career in Europe

This is the most frequent question which students pose themselves when deciding to study abroad. Usually, students are not sure which country will be the right choice. Once they decide, there is still the question about the city and the desired place where to study. Wherever they study abroad, it will be of a great significance for their later future. However, here are some possible suggestions for building a career in Europe, if you want to make yourself an idea about it.

Different countries, different languages, different opportunities

There are many countries where you can study and pursue your career, but to narrow it down and choose only the best ones, here are four countries that clearly stand out and you can soon find out why is that.

Italy

Take Italy for example, the country famous for its art, literature and culture. Many great artists and scientists have studied there and made some great masterpieces, which made its past so glorious. There are several cities where you can study, but to restrain the choices and only pick some of them, here are Milan, Florence and Rome. Not only are these cities unique in their beauty, but are also great places where to live. Milan is mostly famous for fashion, engineering and architecture universities, if your heart lays there. Rome and Florence are famous for universities of arts instead. If you are interested in studying there, you should know that Italy is between the nations with one of the strongest higher education system. Even better to acknowledge is the fact that tuition fees are not so expensive like in the US or UK, and when you get a scholarship they are free of charge. So be a good student and apply for a scholarship. There are also scholarships based on the income, if your parents cannot financially help you during your studies and you are a good student, the country will help you.

Germany

The next possible country where to pursue your studies is Germany. There are several cities that stand out like Berlin, Munich, Stuttgart, Frankfurt and Hamburg. They have a wide range of courses and programmes to choose. In addition to that, the country has the strongest economy in Europe, so getting a degree there might as well mean getting a good job too. What makes this country most attractive for foreign students is that there are often free tuition fees, or you have to pay really low registration fees and some fee every semester. Not only will this country offer you some strong basis and knowledge, but also optimal career development opportunities. It is a very big country, and as such there are a lot of good universities to be found to please your choice.

Switzerland

One of the best countries where to study is surely Switzerland, the land of Alps and chocolate. Being the country which is known to have the best universities in Europe and worldwide, has its advantages. Here you will have great career opportunities during your studies and afterwards. Once you enter Switzerland as a student, it might be just as easier to find a job there as well, should it be your desire. This country enjoys the international atmosphere and very high standards of living. If you decide to study in Switzerland, then you might check to study in some of these cities like Zurich, known as the city which has best universities in Switzerland, Basel, famous for being the oldest university in Switzerland, or Bern, Lausanne, Geneva and Lucerne.

Norway

Another country, that you might consider is Norway. Like Switzerland, it also offers very good universities and is famous for very high standards of living. What will make you happy is to know that here too you will find almost free tuition fees. This country would be great for you if you like winter sports, nature, hiking and climbing. Some cities where you can find your study destination could be Oslo, Bergen and Trondheim.

The more, the better

Wherever you decide to go, it will be the right choice, if it feels the right for you. Having studied at an international university in a foreign country will surely be a great plus for you, if you want to study in a foreign country or make a combination by studying in your own and then abroad. This way you will enrich your curriculum, and might as well have great chances later for finding the desired job. If you are undecided, then you can always give a thought about starting your Bachelor in Italy, continuing with your Master in Germany and finishing your Ph.D. in Switzerland. That sounds interesting, doesn’t it? The more experience you have, the better it is.
