We added new members to our team to enhance educators’ experiences with our services.
For the past five years, we have been focused on creating a service that students want and use in their everyday lives. We have successfully increased enrollment into our program and the amount of consistent engagement students have with their Agents. We do over one million interactions every six months and 40% of those interactions are student initiated.
One of our new milestones this year is to build insights and products for educators that come from the engagement we have with their students. This August, we have hired four people who are focused on partnering with our educators to take the data their receiving and provide it in a more insightful and useful way. Meet the newest members of our team!
For the last 15 years, Dr. Simmons has had the pleasure of supporting K-12 institutions, post secondary institutions and community-based business organizations all in effort to assist them in their personal and professional growth endeavors. Dr. Simmons earned her Bachelor’s degree from Auburn University, Master’s degree from Lesley University, Education Specialist degree from Liberty University, & Doctor of Philosophy in Education with a specialization in Curriculum and Instructional Leadership from Capella University. Blair Husted is from Milford, CT and currently living in Norman, OK with her husband Andy, a Navy pilot, and their dog Minnie. She graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and is currently working towards a masters in Educational Administration, Curriculum and Supervision. She was a teacher for 5 years in 5 different schools and 4 different grade levels. She has worked for Student Success Agency for over a year as an agent and more recently also as a team lead. Her new role is focused on supporting educational leaders, counselors, and program facilitators who have Student Success Agency at their school.
Rubi Franco Quiroz graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a bachelors in Communication studies in the field of interpersonal relations and organization. She also minored in French and Hispanic Studies, and is looking to get her masters in social work in the future. She’s been an agent since 2014, and helped hundreds of students in our program get through college. Rubi will support the team on identifying, measuring, and improving impact metrics throughout the organization but specifically with our Agents, students, and educators.
You may have seen Fred around the team for sometime now as he has been working with us for several years capturing some of our biggest moments at our camps and in our schools. Fred role in SSA is to continue to help us tell our story and share our impact through video. In charge of content creation, he will work with our content manager to consistently deliver value to all our stakeholders in the organization.
