02/21–02/26 Planning activities for generative workshops

The biggest effort in planning a generative workshop was to schedule people for it and manage their times and schedules. We were able to get in touch with 12 people for our workshop out of which one group was of professors/experts and the other one was of students. The whole idea of planning generative workshops for two category of users was to collaborate with them to come up with diverse solutions from both teacher and student perspectives. We also planned to interview Duolingo designers and conduct our generative workshop in their office space.

Testing is important

Before making our participants go through the workshop we created for them we decided to test it ourselves. this gave us a lot of insights into what works and doesn’t in our workshop format. It was also helpful to understand the importance of think out loud and enact/share your story elements after doing the exercise.
