Management of Natural Resources
What is Natural Resources?
Natural resources are resources and energy sources that exist on the planet without any human activities or actions. Renewable and nonrenewable are two types of natural resources that humans and other animals use to fulfill these needs. Air, sunlight, water, soil, stone, plants, animals, and fossil fuels are common examples of renewable or nonrenewable natural resources. Management of natural resources means the scientific utilization of resources to give the greatest sustainable benefits to the present and future generations.
A few regular resources that exist independent of human actions are the air we inhale, the water we drink, minerals to extract chemical elements, the land or soil used for farming, etc. Sustainable management is a process or technique to control the use of natural resources in such a way that its present availability continues to flow to future generations. For example, forest resources need to be used in a manner that is environmentally and developmentally sound.
If the nonrenewable resources exploration is too high, then the economic and social development will be faster. However, the environment will further deteriorate. Therefore, natural resources can be used continuously in such a way that economic growth and ecological conservation should go hand in hand.
