Studying in Denmark: International Brainstormers

For my family, friends and others.

University is not just about the knowledge and new information. 80% of the things we learn at the university will be one day forgotten or outdated same as the milk in your fridge.

“Most valuable benefit of the university are people we meet and connections we create.”

Thanks to hard work of Helene, Manuel, Kim and the people behind the International Brainstormers program, I had chance to connect with international students from a different study programs and share some quality time with them.

International Brainstormers is program targeting talented international students with experience from different fields and help them to integrate into Danish culture and work environment.
Team building activities.

Fighting on the same battlefield, searching for your new job or just figuring out what to do this evening are the shared problems that we fight together with our friends.

“The common problems simply make people closer.”

Thanks to the IB program I met new people, I would not meet in the class. We have visited different companies together and learned about the danish culture and the work environment.

On the one side, this events and the workshops cut out from our free time and took our precious weekends from us…

Danish work environment and culture workshop.

…but on the other side of course there were some benefits too. Great food and free coffee was something we always look forward to.

This positive energy flow between all the people there was refreshing. It reminded me old times during bachelor studies at the Newton College.

“Having a good laugh with friends is the priceless commodity.”

But our time was not just about having a fun.

At the end we are “The brainstormers”. So we contributed with our part too. We have worked together on different case studies and projects for Danish companies.

And we have offered our skills and experience at the job fairs.

Getting a students to work on interesting projects and helping them to get relevant work experience is one of the goals of the IB program.

In many cases this goal was achieved. My friends got jobs or internships in companies such as Adidas, Lego, Novo Nordisk or Universal Robots.

Meeting Danish companies

Sum sumarum people from IB program are big part of my experience here at the University of Souther Denmark. Some of my best friends are IB members and the most valuable connections to new projects I got trough this program.

“I am very thankful for time spent with all people here and I feel honored to be part of it.”
International Brainstormers Group III.

For people that are planning to study at the SDU I have a good news. IB program is going to be open next year too and you can apply here to be part of it.
