This week has been an adventure and one thing that is for certain is that diving into the Star Wars world can sometimes get confusing especially with all of the different story lines that tie together the Star Wars films and multiple tv shows. I had never thought to watch the animated tv shows and just stuck with watching the films. This left a lot of the Star Wars universe untold to me. This class showed me a couple of the animated Star Wars shows and I was surprised at the amount of content these shows had as well as the visually pleasing animation.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Anakin and Ahsoka

Star Wars the Clone Wars is a 3D CGI animated tv series filled with action packed content. It is based on the three-year period in between Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. The show mostly follows Anakin Skywalker and his Padawan Ahsoka Tano on their many adventures. This is great because it starts to fill in some more dynamics that continue to push Anakin concerning his fall towards the Dark side. It also dives into some very interesting content about the Force, Darth Maul, Master Yoda, and of course the clones!

Star Wars Rebels

Star Wars Rebels

Star Wars Rebels takes place after the Revenge of the Sith. This show introduces many new characters like Ezra Brider, Kanan Jarrus, Hera Syndulla and many more. I found it interesting to watch because we get to view things through the eyes of the rebel’s side. This is great since I feel that we do not get to see too much of the rebels backstory in the movies.

Star Wars Resistance

Star Wars Resistance

Star Wars Resistance is the most recent of these animated series. It takes place sometime after the Return of the Jedi. I have only watched a piece of an episode but can tell that the show has a lot of potential. They take time to create a real understanding of each character which is extremely important because it makes the characters more real even though they are animated.
