The Trip Begins

Today just a little bit after 7 in the morning our study trip group took off from the Helsinki-Vantaa airport. We are heading to Los Angeles, California via Stockholm.

I am traveling with 14 fellow Aalto University students. Most of us are studying in the faculty of Information and Service Economy in the School of Business but we have also a few students from the School of Science. We all share a common interest towards IT, tech and startup-companies. Our goal during this trip is indeed to visit many different companies in Silicon Valley and San Francisco area including companies such as Facebook, Google and Accenture Tech Labs.

We are still on our way to our final destination. Our participants will write further posts about their thoughts during our study trip. Keep tabs on our Silicon Valley adventures and let us know if there is anything in special you would like us to write about.

Up in the air it seems that it is going to be a cloudy day in Helsinki. If you weren’t able to join us during this trip, remember that the sun will shine over California next year as well!
