All I wish is to scribble a few words and write
When nothing in life seems to be alright
These are days when even pizza brings me no delight
Days have made no sense to me; all week is a long dark night
Colors slowly fade away; the film turns black and white
Then the pen walks coyly, helping with his gracious might
It isn’t all sunshine and rainbows; there is no immediate light
Joy, peace, and merry gradually enter on the polite invite
It is the poetry and words that help stand and fight
When life repeatedly throws me down & fills me with fright
Rhymes, similes, imagery, and words humbly unite
To help me overcome the tough time with sane & logical sight.
