It’s no picnic when you first arrive in Australia. It’s a totally new experience — everything might seem alien and you might feel like you've lost your bearings and landed in a strange land.

But that’s a natural feeling, after all it’s a new culture, new lifestyle and in schools they all speak English not your native language!

However don’t worry don’t stew, you’ll see soon enough that we’re an awesome bunch. In fact you’ll be surprised about how multi cultural we are. You’ll also notice our relaxed and laid back “no worries” attitude.

If you name is David we’ll shorten that too, and call you Davo or you might be Gabriela and we’ll call you Gabbi, that’s just the way we accept “you as a mate”!

With that kind of welcome, soon you won’t want to go back home to your friends and family. In the beginning you might feel like you should return “that thought might come up every weekend” but soon enough you’ll make friends and start enjoying our bloody awesome weather.

And who better to enjoy with then the new “mates” you've already made. Working, living, partying together. The independence you wanted will hit you in the face and it will feel like a whirlwind, but soon enough you’ll get into the rhythm.

You might also notice that most shops close at or around 5ish — that’s the Aussie lifestyle of finding that balance between work and life, after all there’s only life. Yes it might be inconvenient but hey, why would you want to shop around acquiring things that you rarely need when you can be out and about instead. We have the right idea — enjoy life with family, have a rest, eat great food and take a walk at the beach. (Yeap even in winter)!

If that’s too relaxed we also have great pubs and clubs that you can dance the night away.

So kick off your shoes grab a pair of flip flops and hit the streets whilst undertaking world-class education that Australia has to offer!

Welcome home!
