Paradise Falls by John Milton is an amazing poem with a great story line explaining the beginning of the world and how God created everything including on how things went downhill.

Satan and his followers rebelling against God with their resistance

As you can see here Satan was banished from Heaven by God and Satan fell to Hell along with his followers to resist against God and take over Earth and his new precarious creations “humans” . Satan creates a plan on how to make this happen.

Adam and Eve in the Paradise Sanctuary

Here we can see Adam and Eve enjoying the peacefulness in the land created by God with animals living in harmony and the first two humans obeying God’s commands until Satan shows up as a snake with limbs and convinces Eve to eat the apple even though God told Adam and Eve not to. Eve then convinces Adam to eat the apple as well, he hesitates at first but then ends up eating it. When God finds out he is disappointed in what has happened and finds out that Eve was manipulated by Satan in the form of a snake.

God sending Adam and Eve away

In disappointment God sends Adam and Eve away from the land but promises them afterlife in Heaven once they pass. God curses snakes and removes limbs from snakes and turns Satan’s followers into limbless snakes. I believe John Milton had definitely communicated a great job emphasizing on the snake with limbs and removing them as a punishment for the actions done by Satan.

In conclusion this is what I found most interesting about Paradise Lost by John Milton and loved the communication he played in sorting everything out from the beginning and end in books one and two.
