Why does evil exist? Well, the short answer is humans are the cause of evil. We can choose to be a good or bad person, but that decision impacts how we are perceived and how it changes the world. The decisions we make and how we act towards others determines if we are good or evil.

Now, what even is evil? This term is defined for individuals who are selfish, manipulative, greedy, jealous, hatred, egotistical, the list can go on and on. Someone who is evil only thinks about themselves and has negative thoughts and intentions while someone who is good tends to make a positive situation out of a negative one. Evil can be learned behavior or just how one’s personality is. Regardless, it is up to us to make the evil in the world a better place. Evil was created to balance good and bad. Evil and good rely on each other. Good can’t exist without evil and evil can’t exist without good. The act of evil and good comes in many forms and we encounter it on a daily basis. An example of evil is school shootings. The shooter chooses to be evil and selfish and takes away an innocent life. An example of good would be donating to charity, risking your life to protect others, participating in volunteering events, or just helping someone in need.

Just because evil exists does not make everyone a bad person. Evil exists for people who are selfish and only care to do things that will only benefit them; while good exists for people who do things for everyone and make the world a happy place to live in. The world isn’t perfect and neither are humans, but it is our choice to make the right decision and always be the good in the world. A small act of kindness like paying for the car in front of you can make their day.
