20-year-old NFT artist Fewocious announced a collection of 20,000 profile-picture NFTs called “Fewos.” There are three species that will be available: Frankenstein, Misunderstood, and Humanoid. All are characters in the artist’s universe he calls the FewoWorld.

In the past month, we at Subnation launched our Esports and Gaming Academy, a learning solutions subdivision. The first course available from the Academy is “Esports Event Production Management.” You can find it at ​​www.learningesports.gg.

The Meta Quest Gaming Showcase happened on June 1st, sparking the summer of game reveals. At the Showcase, we saw details about the Meta Quest 3 VR headset as well as games like Stranger Things VR, Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable, and Bulletstorm VR.

Web3 and blockchain are finally busting their way into universities. Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania has created an AI Institute. Binance is working with the Austral University in Argentina on a 5-month blockchain training program. And even more is on the way.

The recent boom in AI technology interest has led to major growth at computer tech companies. The best recent example is Nvidia, which temporarily become a $1 trillion company. This puts them on the same level as giants like Amazon and Google.

NFT Artist Fewocious Reveals Upcoming Collection “Fewos”

CoinDesk — Non-fungible token (NFT) artist Fewocious said Wednesday he’s gearing up to release his upcoming digital art collection “Fewos.”

The 20-year old artist posted a Tweet introducing the collection, stating the 20,000 unit series of profile-picture (PFP) NFTs will be available to mint in August.

According to its website, Fewos are characters in Fewoworld, Fewocious’ Web3 universe of digital art. The three species of Fewo NFTs — Frankenstein, Misunderstood, and Humanoid — have their own unique artistic traits. There are no details on the price of the NFTs at this time.

“From squiggly eyes, to linework bones, and everything in between, these creatures were born from the mind of FEWOCiOUS, with every trait hand drawn and then converted into beautiful 3D art,” the website explains…[cont]

Meta Quest Gaming Showcase Announces 7th Guest VR, Bulletstorm VR, Stranger Things VR, Asgard’s Wrath 2, And More

Game Informer — With the airing of The Meta Quest Gaming Showcase, you could argue that we are officially in the season formerly known as E3. This morning, ahead of its stream, Meta shared details about its upcoming Meta Quest 3 headset, which included a few teases for games that would be revealed during its stream, which you can find the details for below.

The showcase ended with the reveal of Asgard’s Wrath 2. The original Asgard’s Wrath is one of VR’s biggest, most ambitious (and well-reviewed) games. The sequel picks up where the story of the first game left off while adding all kinds of new mechanics. Nvidia became a $1 trillion company thanks to the AI boom

The Verge — Nvidia temporarily became a $1 trillion company on Tuesday morning, with its rising valuation fueled by tech companies big and small racing to add generative artificial intelligence tools to their products. AI tools made up the vast bulk of recent Google I/O and Microsoft Build presentations, and Nvidia’s chips make it a key supplier for companies trying to build something with AI.

Its valuation pushed past the trillion-dollar benchmark as trading opened today at just over $405 per share, putting it in the rarified air previously occupied by only a few large companies such as Apple and Microsoft after they surpassed the significant mark in August 2018 and August 2019, respectively. Amazon and Google are the other tech stocks in the club, and Meta is a former member.

When the market closed on Monday, the share price had fallen back to $401.11 after peaking at about $419. That gives Nvidia’s stock a value of “just” $992 billion or so, taking it out of the $1 trillion club, for now…[cont]
