On the horizon: The creator economy is moving to Web3

Cointelegraph — Though it is beginning to recede in memory, the bear market of 2022 dealt a major blow to public confidence in blockchain technology’s potential for practical use and mass adoption. The collapse of blockchain platform, Terra, and the dissolution of crypto hedge fund, Three Arrows Capital and global exchange, FTX, damaged the financial well-being and reputation of the entire ecosystem.

Nonetheless, during these challenging times, projects with real substance and use cases have continued to build and develop, and Web2 giants, such as Amazon and Mastercard, have been quietly establishing key infrastructure and partnerships in the space. As 2023 progresses, we are seeing new ideas and approaches begin to truly flourish…[cont]

CoinDesk — Web3 software company Lucky Friday is introducing Teddy DAO, a perpetual non-fungible token (NFT) collection that donates its sale proceeds to charity.

Adobe is so confident its Firefly generative AI won’t breach copyright that it’ll cover your legal bills

Adobe Firefly, the software giant’s AI-powered image generation and expansion tool, is being rolled out to businesses today. At its flagship Adobe Summit event, the company is unveiling an expansion of Firefly for enterprise users that will include “full indemnification for the content created through these features,” says Claude Alexandre, VP of digital media at Adobe. (The publicly available beta of Firefly has already been used to create AI-generated riffs on classic album covers and works of art.)

Anything created using Firefly’s text-to-image generation tool will be fully indemnified by the company “as a proof point that we stand behind the commercial safety and readiness of these features,” Alexandre says…[cont]
