The music streaming platform Sound.xyz is opening up to the general public. Launched in 2022, it was only available to a select number of music creators. Soon anyone will be able to sell their music to fans and earn 100% of the revenue.

Atari founder Nolan Bushnell and former president of Atari and Sega Europe Larry Siegel present Moxy. It’s a token, it’s a platform, and it’s vying to be the next big thing in Esports. With Moxy, anyone can play games competitively with a shot at a prize pool.

A number of Web3 companies are working together to premiere Gaming Demo Day for the first time on July 26th. On the day of, web3 game start-ups will present their projects to the world, with a chance to win cloud credits.

One of the biggest topics of the week was the win Microsoft achieved against the FTC regarding their acquisition of Activision Blizzard. Microsoft remains adamant that the acquisition will benefit gamers and the gaming industry.

Xterio, a blockchain game developer and publisher, has received $15 million in funding from Binance Labs. The intention for the investment is to implement AI into its development toolkit as well as launch the Xterio token.

FTC loses case to block Microsoft Activision $69B deal

Fox Business — The U.S. Federal Trade Commission cannot stop Microsoft’s proposed $69 billion purchase of Activision Blizzard, a California judge ruled on Tuesday.

The deal, originally announced 17 months ago, can now move forward by the July 18 deadline.

In her ruling, Judge Jacqueline Scott Corley said, “Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision has been described as the largest in tech history,” and “it deserves scrutiny.” [cont]

Binance commits $15M to Xterio to boost Web3 game platform with AI

Venture Beat — Binance Labs, the venture capital and incubation arm of Binance, has committed $15 million to Xterio to boost its Web3 game platform with AI technologies.

Xterio is an operating company and strategic partner for Binance. Xterio aims to bridge free-to-play games and blockchain gaming with in-house and third-party games currently in development.
