Subreddit Cat Advice
A subreddit in everything cat, questions and advice from where to get cat furniture in a specific country to tips on re-directing a cat’s attention from a family heirloom that the owner would prefer to not become the next cat scratching post. If you have ever had the experience of owning a cat (or being owned) then I’m sure you will see a lot of common questions and answers you yourself had to tackle when first bringing a feline home. If I were new to cats I think this would be a great overview of the kinds of issue I may experience with stray cats, kittens, cat bonding, etc… It would definitely be more helpful then say r/catloaf.
With any online forum the request for and the offering of medical advice is bound to happen. However the moderators of this particular subreddit do seem to try their best to discourage medical advice since this is asking Internet friends for advice and not a group of local vets that are trained to be knowledgeable in this domain. Overall it seems like a great community and I can now count myself as a subscriber.
