New on Subsail: Gift subscriptions
Today sees the launch of Subsail’s gift subscriptions, which allow your customers to buy your subscriptions for friends or family.
This is probably the cleanest way available to sell gift magazine subscriptions online.
Once gift subscriptions are enabled in your account (a new option in your Settings), an “Is this a gift?” toggle is added to your checkout page. If the customer selects “Yes”, three fields are added to the top of the checkout form, which save the gifter’s details to each subscription (perfect if you want to reach out later on).
The “recipient” becomes a subscriber, but all payments are charged to the gifter.

Please note: selling gift subscriptions is off by default. They can be easily enabled from your Sell settings.
