There’s a massive flaw in most writers that goes unnoticed. Even I had this problem.

I chased perfection in my writing. This took me away from what I was supposed to do — write to connect with my readers.

I misunderstood the meaning of perfect writing.

I thought using correct grammar and complicated words is what makes perfect writing.

I was so wrong.

First, I didn’t know who to target. Soon, I had that figured out.

Then I didn’t know what to say. Then I figured out that, too. Then, I struggled to write correctly because I was complicating things.

It was a rollercoaster. It still is. But now, I have my fundamentals sorted out.

Pick any successful writing. You’d find common patterns in each of them.

It’s not the most polished & essenceful writing that gets engagement — It’s the writing that hits the right chord in the reader’s mind.

How you write is secondary. Why & what you write is primary.
