The ability to persuade and influence others is not only an important skill in business but a true reality as a CSM. The process, challenge and complexity when managing people and our ability to understand and communicate effectively with others is tied to our success. The level of stakeholder engagement can make a huge difference when you are managing accounts.

Above all else, it is important that you are proactive in managing your stakeholders. Understanding when and why you need to engage stakeholders is the first step towards increasing that engagement. If you can accomplish that, you will get more buy-in. Also, it will allow you to gain a broader perspective on how to achieve your goals and shows that you are considering their needs. Gaining support from stakeholders early on will produce faster decision-making and resources when you need them.
