Tiger Woods vs.Phil Mickelson Twitter War is On!
This is not a drill! Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson are trading (playful) punches on Twitter!
Wednesday started off on such a high note when Phil Mickelson joined Twitter and gifted us with his first — and very hilarious -tweet.
But not too long after, Tiger Woods tagged Mickelson in a photo telling him ‘it is on’ come November when the two are set to play a 1-on-1 match for a reported $10 million purse.
Jabs being thrown on Twitter means only one thing: these two NEED to be mic’d up when its time to play in their Thanksgiving Weekend match. Half the fun will be hearing these two trash talk each other in what we all hope is a close match.
This is a match that fans of golf have wanted for quite some time. And in their later ages, both Tiger and Phil have grown to not only like each other but become good friends on and off the course.
After battling it out on Tour for the last two decades, the two can finally have friendly matches like this. Something that is strikingly similar to Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, and Gary Player’s rounds in the Augusta National Par 3 contests.
Nevertheless, November’s match between Tiger and Phil will be interesting and you can bet this won’t be the last of the ‘Twitter wars’ between these two.
