Back to the Future’s Video Message from the Past is Here

It’s possibly the most famous date in Hollywood folklore: October 21, 2015.

Decades before the Tesla, the Delorean made cinema history…

It was 1985 when Back to the Future was first released thrilling critics and audiences alike and becoming the highest grossing film of that year.

It was then that Doc Brown, Marty McFly and the whole Back to the Future universe descended upon an unsuspecting world.

Fast forward to today: that famous scene referenced this day, and people around the globe are comparing how the movie’s predictions compare to today.

It’s a brilliant play on movie folklore, on branding and culture itself.

Here’s the video with this message that’s going viral as we speak (something they didn’t predict in the movie — for those unfamiliar with the movie reference, today is that famous day Doc Brown “sent” Marty McFly in the movie Back to the Future).

Here is the message for the rest of us from the Doc himself.

A brilliant dose of branding from Universal Pictures on the 30th anniversary of this film classic.
