How to Make a Killer Image for Your Medium Story Using Canva
Another how-to that will make you know everything right now
I have had a couple of requests for a tutorial on making eye-catching images using Canva. So, if I fail and this post isn’t useful at all, you can blame the people who requested it — I warned you! I don’t have any talent. Don’t blame me if this whole post sucks, okay?
I am going to take you through some steps to make cool images — and not just for Medium posts. You’ll learn how to make fun Instagram and Facebook posts, and you can even craft a killer background for your Medium profile header like mine. The uses are endless!
1. Get Canva
First things first: if you want to make the best and brightest story images, then you probably already know what I am going to say since I already gave away the biggest secret in the first sentence of this post — you need to use Canva. And for most of the stuff I am going to teach you, you’re going to need to sign up for a free trial of their paid membership, Canva Pro. I mean, Canva is so wonderful that there’s no reason you wouldn’t want to pay them.
I promise Canva isn’t paying me to say this. But I wish they would.
