Do you have a suggestion for Medium or Medium Users? Drop it in the box.

Disclaimer: We have no indication that Medium corporate folks, curators or anyone else knows about the Suggestion Box, but they should, and in the meantime, we users can help one another.

Ready to be added as a writer to Suggestion Box? Comment below with your request and a link to your most relevant past story and we’ll be happy to add you.

Please note: As the topic of “Suggestion Box” is Medium and how to succeed here, it’s unlikely that the stories you submit here will be chosen for further distribution. But, if you read the box, you’ll learn that stories about how to succeed on Medium are very successful (and earn $ in the Medium Partner Program) even without curation.

**Since Medium does not allow stories to be tagged “Medium,” we recommend the “Tips” tag when submitting a suggestion for Medium.**

Once you’ve been added as a writer, to submit:

  1. Click the “” button near the top-right corner of the page
  2. Select “Add to publication
  3. Choose “Suggestion Box” from the list of pubs
  4. Click “Add draft” to submit your story for review
  5. Wait patiently for your draft to be reviewed (we’ll try our best to get to it quickly)
  6. Depending on your settings, you should receive an email from Medium once your story is accepted or rejected.

Writing Guidelines

  1. At this time we accept both published and unpublished drafts.
  2. We prefer articles that are 3–7 minutes long.
  3. Please tag your work with at least one of the following: Blogging, Writing, Tips, Marketing, Social Media. This helps us to better organize stories and increases the visibility of your story in the publication.
  4. Titles must be title-case, and subtitles must be sentence-case — with a featured image below it. If you are not sure about the format of your title, you can use a Title Case Converter. Use high-quality images in your posts. Remember to credit properly the images you use. You must have the legal right and permission to use it. Failing to do this is a cause of rejection of your piece. If it’s your own picture, add a credit like this “Image courtesy of the Author”.
  5. Please place a free use image as the first item below your header and sub-header. Unsplash, Pixabay and Pexels have great free libraries.
  6. Please edit before submitting your piece Read your story out loud before you hit publish. Write short and clear sentences, let the reader breathe. We will reject submissions with too many grammar mistakes.
