Case Study: Using Native Web3 Functionalities on Twitter To Engage & Onboard Users (Feat. CryptoDads)

At Suku, we’re dedicated to bringing the best of Web3 to everyday life through user-friendly tools and engaging experiences. In line with this mission, we recently partnered with the awesome CryptoDads NFT community for a unique collaboration.
In this post, we’ll recap our joint venture, the CryptoDads Jokes Collection, and discuss the results of this exciting initiative.
💭 The Backstory
We believe that mainstream Web3 adoption will occur when it seamlessly integrates with the tools we use daily. To help make this a reality, we’re working on incorporating Web3 functionalities into popular Web2 platforms like Twitter. Our partnership with CryptoDads provided an excellent opportunity to test this hypothesis.
We aimed to determine whether we could engage Twitter users through a fun campaign while introducing them to Web3. As you’ll see, our hypothesis was confirmed.
Now, let’s explore the CryptoDads Jokes Collection.
🍻 Introducing the CryptoDads Jokes Collection
With CryptoDads, we developed an entertaining concept: the world’s first crowd-created NFT collection launched directly from Twitter, powered by our tweet-minting bot, @Sukuthis. We invited the CryptoDads community and all Twitter users to share their funniest dad jokes, which were then turned into NFTs and added to the CryptoDads Jokes NFT Collection on OpenSea.
🚀 Participation
Participating was simple. Anyone who wanted to participate simply had to follow two steps:
- Come up with a hilarious dad joke that would make people laugh or cringe.
- Tweet the dad joke, tagging @Sukuthis, @CryptoDadsNFT, and using the hashtag #Dadjoke.
To incentivize participation, we offered $1 in MATIC per joke, up to $10 per participant, and a $500 MATIC prize pool divided among the top three winners.
💸 Rewards and Distribution
After collecting the NFTweets, we moved on to the voting and rewards stage. Participants joined our Discord server to vote for their favorite NFT jokes. The top three winners with the most votes received a share of the $500 prize pool.
To distribute rewards to the 500+ participants, we utilized a distribution tool developed at Suku. This tool enabled us to send tokens to multiple participants simultaneously using just their Twitter handles. Interested in learning more about this? Stay tuned for updates.

- Go to extension.suku.world
- Install Suku Web3 Connect (still in beta)
- Log in with your Twitter account (the one you participated with)
- You should see your rewards sitting in your account

🧠 The Takeaway
The CryptoDads Jokes Collection campaign met our expectations, with ~130 Twitter users minting ~500 NFT-worthy jokes and generating over 200,000 impressions. For CryptoDads, they saw a substantial increase in most Twitter metrics (month-to-month):
- 25% boost in mentions
- 20% more profile visits
- 12% more impressions.
With this initiative, we confirmed that Web3 can become more accessible and user-friendly as we seamlessly integrate it into everyday valuable and fun experiences while at the same time substantially boosting engagement.
