The 🌱climate🌱 cost of coffee ☕

Did you know the environmental impact of coffee?

According to ZME Science, “the exportation and transport process produced over 70% of total CO2 emissions in conventional coffee.”

That’s terrible for the environment, especially as analysts predict that demand is expected to triple by 2050

The plan? Increasing the use of non-dairy milk in coffee products and improving the energy efficiency in water heating — and conservations are already hard at work at these efforts.

After all, being good stewards to our environment means more than “using recycled products” or finding an equivalent way to way to reduce your carbon footprint — it means using less.

At Sumato Coffee, we dedicate ourselves on finding creative ways to reduce our emissions and conduct not only sustainable practices but ethical and fair-trade solutions too.

So show off coffee that’s more than just good for you, showcase that it’s good for the environment.
