Tiramisu, an Italian dessert which means “lift me up,” can be found in many restaurants’ dessert menus. If you have not tried it by now, you must have at least, heard of it. From ice cream to cake, many adventurers took a different approach to paying homage to this dessert. Easy to make; below is my take on it.
IMPORTANT: This recipe calls for raw eggs. If you are afraid of making the dessert using raw eggs, do step two and three by putting the bowl inside a double-boiler.

Makes 6 portions
Preparation time: 30 minutes
Refrigeration time: 4 hours

Utensils:
3 bowls
1 rectangular bowl (8in x 8in x 2in)
1 cup
1 tablespoon

Ingredients:

1 cup strong coffee
4 tablespoon sweet Marsala wine
24 lady fingers
8 tablespoons sugar
8oz mascarpone cheese
½ cup whipped cream
3 eggs (separated)
4 tablespoon dark cocoa
1 pinch salt

Step 1

Add four spoons of marsala wine to coffee.
Move on to the following steps and let the coffee cool down.

Step 2

In a bowl, beat yolks with two tablespoons of sugar until a pale color is achieved. About two minutes.
Stir mascarpone into the mixture.

Step 3

In a separate bowl, beat egg whites with a pinch of salt and two tablespoons of sugar until the mix reaches six times the original amount.
Combine mascarpone mixture with egg whites.

Step 4

Use a separate bowl for heavy whipping cream. Add four tablespoons of sugar and beat until cones form on the surface.

Step 5

Soak all the lady fingers in the coffee mix.
The amount of coffee per lady finger is subject to taste and/or the consistency of the dessert desired.

Step 6

In a rectangular bowl, cover bottom with soaked lady fingers.
Use half of the mascarpone mixture to cover the lady fingers.
Top with half of the whipped cream and sprinkle with cacao.

Step 7

Repeat step 6. Finish by shaving dark chocolate on the surface.
Let rest in the refrigerator for six hours.

Enjoy at any time of the day-month-year.
