It’s incredibly overwhelming to be in a different country trying to complete an enormous list of things to do. Therefore, there are six essential and photo-worthy moments to experience to make the most out of your Italy trip.

.Glide through the Venetian Waters — There’s always a need for the classic “riding in a gondola” experience! Venice, Italy is a beautiful location with plenty to see, and riding along the venetian waters while viewing the colorful homes covered in plants is incomparable. I remember my first ride on a gondola was unbelievable. I kept repeating to myself, “I’m actually here and this is real,” because it’s one thing to see travel pictures of gondolas with a magnificent sunset background and another thing to sit down, hear Italian music silently playing, with the sun shining on your face as you ride along the water.

.Travel Back in Time to the Renaissance Palace — Italy’s rich history is vividly seen by visiting the home of the Medici family because they were a prominent presence during the Renaissance. Therefore, a visit to the Medici’s eloquent home is like traveling back in time.

.Eat Award-Winning Gelato in San Gimignano — The small hill town is characterized by gothic architecture and it has 14 towers fully intact which not only makes it visibly appealing and historic but it also has an award winning gelato shop! The “Gelateria Di Piazza” holds the “Gelato World Champion” award for the years 2006–2009! It certainly lives up to its title because the gelato was scrumptious, creamy and truly one of a kind. Don’t forget to take a quick picture of your tasty-looking gelato before it disappears!

.Dive Into A World of Art at the Uffizi Gallery — Italy is well-known for its artistic nature due to the grand artists that have emerged, such as Michelangelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, and Donatello. Certainly, with over 45 museum halls there are masterpieces such as “The Birth of Venus” by Botticelli, “The Battle of San Romano” by Paolo Uccello, “Doni Tondo” by Michelangelo and “Madonna of the Goldfinch” by Raphael. Therefore, it is crucial to view the art at the Uffizi Gallery because it will leave you breathless and wishing you had paint, an easel and hours on end to create some art.
