Conferences… we simultaneously love and loathe them as professionals. They create amazing networking, discovery, sales, and learning opportunities that can’t be found anywhere else. But, differentiating signal versus noise when deciding which events to attend can be tedious. That’s why we’ve created our new series, Ten to Attend, which breaks down the top ten events to attend across an array of industries.

As a mobile app marketer, I’m always looking for conferences to attend to broaden my knowledge of mobile growth — which is why I started with top mobile marketing events for this series. Of course, there are way more than ten mobile marketing events, but this curated list will help you hone in on a few top choices to attend in 2017.

Mobile World Congress
February 27–March 2, 2017
Barcelona, Spain

First, who doesn’t want an excuse to visit beautiful Barcelona? Beyond that, Mobile World Congress is hosted by GSMA and is considered the largest gathering of mobile professionals from around the world. Top speakers include Ted Livingston (CEO & Founder, Kik), John Hanke (CEO & Founder, Niantic), and Jeff Lawson (CEO, Twilio). They have hundreds (if not thousands — we stopped counting) of exhibitors spanning the mobile industry and have a dedicated App Planet Exhibition which features over 200 app-specific exhibitors.

SXSW
March 10–19, 2017
Austin, Texas

Okay, this one barely made this list as SXSW is known for its focus on tech and entertainment, not mobile apps. But, The Mobile Growth Agency (TMGA) partnered up with Amplitude to host The Mobile Growth House on March 11. This event within an event features top speakers from Grow.co, Adjust, and RetailmeNot along with nine sessions on topics from Facebook advertising to predictive analytics. The best part? You don’t need SXSW tickets to attend. But, you don’t want to miss out on one of the largest and coolest events of the year — so you can pick up SXSW tickets below.

App Promotion Summit
April 6, 2017
New York, New York

This is the first time App Promotion Summit will be in New York City and I’m so excited that it’s made it’s way to the Big Apple. The event attendance tends to run around 800 attendees which creates a more intimate networking and learning experience for those who are in attendance. Learn more about ASO, UA, and analytics with curated keynotes from Google, Facebook, Duolingo and more. You really won’t want to miss this event — but if you do, you can make up for it by attending the London (July 5) or Berlin (November 30) events.

LTR
April 26–27, 2017
New York, New York

LTR is Appboy’s premiere event and they’re stepping up their game this year. They’re inviting all Appboy users to an exclusive half-day of VIP workshops on the first day followed by an afterparty open to all attendees. The second day will feature talks from B. Bonin Bough of Cleveland Hustles, Tamika D. Mallory a national co-chair of Women’s March on Washington, and Appboy CEO Bill Magnuson.

Mobile App Marketing Summit
May 18, 2017
London, England

Mobile Marketing Magazine hosts several free summits on various topics including branding, finance, and travel. They’ve recently ventured into hosting a mobile app specific summit and I’m excited to learn more. Their events are said to be “discussion- and education-led events which allow our delegates to choose their own agenda, giving both them and our partners quality time to get to the heart of the challenges facing brands when it comes to mobile strategy in all its shapes and forms.” And, did we mention it’s free to attend?

MAU
May 3–4, 2017
Las Vegas, Nevada

First things first, if you’re in mobile app marketing you should definitely sign up for Grow.Co’s newsletter. Then, you should book your tickets to their annual event — Mobile Apps Unlocked or MAU. This event brings together both high-growth and at-scale brands for two action-packed days focused on user acquisition, retention, and product development. They also emphasize networking opportunities with events throughout the two-day conference.

Google IO
May 17–19, 2017
Mountain View, California

If you’re Google, you can have a blank page with only dates, location, and a very narrow window for applying for tickets. Don’t miss out on your chance to attend Google’s exclusive event for mobile app developers. Ticket applications are open from February 22–27 only and are run on a lottery system. May the odds be ever in your favor.

Mobile Beach Conference
May 20–21, 2017
Ibiza, Spain

Take more than a pill in Ibiza with Mobile Beach Conference this May. Produced by Clickky, the event is expected to bring 1,000 attendees and “features insights and reports from the decision makers in mobile marketing, app development, and analytics. Dynamic industry thinkers and leaders share the latest brand promotion methods, key mobile traffic monetization cases, and advertiser success stories.” Tickets are pretty inexpensive, so mobile marketers should take advantage.

GrowthHackers Conference
May 24, 2017
Los Angeles, California

As an avid user of growthhackers.com, this one had to make it on the list. It is not exclusive to mobile app marketers but does feature speakers from top mobile companies. Learn growth techniques across marketing, product, and design in this one day with top speakers including Ed Baker of Uber, Jamie Siminoff of Ring, and Lisa Sullivan-Cross of Pandora. Early bird tickets end February 28!

Apps World North America
November 2017
San Francisco, California

Not much information has been released about the 2017 event but it’s known to bring over 5,000 attendees with over 150 speakers. The sister event in London is now part of the larger tech event TechXLR8 with sessions including UX Next, BotWorld, and Mobile Marketing Summit — so we can only guess they’re going to have a great lineup come November.

You can start networking with attendees at these events and others on SummitSync today. If you found this post helpful, please give us some ❤!
